Nelly Kate is the experimental project of Nelly Kate Anderson, whose looping harmonies provide the structure for the band's minimal instrumentation. With a revolving cast of contributing musicians, Nelly Kate's sound is constantly evolving around Anderson's creative direction. Nelly Kate uses a strange repertoire of instruments, including homemade music boxes and typewriters, to create a layered soundscape of both acoustic and electronic sounds that is captured on the band's 2012 debut, ISH ISH.
