Experimental folk band Hope For Agoldensummer hails from Athen, Georgia and describes itself as an ararchist-soul-choir. Sisters Claire and Page Campbell lead the band's soaring harmonies together against an understated backdrop of jangly instruments including a slide guitar, banjo and singing saw, creating an ethereal but powerful sound. Hope For Agoldensummer's 2004 debut album Heart of Art, which was named Athens-based magazine Flagpole's number one album, gathered the band a solid local fan basde. Known for the emotional power of its music, the band is acclaimed for creating dreamy, spooky and gentle atmospheres at its live performances.
