Sporting an argyle sweater vest, cut-off jean shorts and a well-shaped mustache, Frenchman Florent Marchet looks like he'd fit in better at a bike shop in Williamsburg than singing French folkpop. Hipster image aside, Marchet is a talented multi-instrumentalist with a penchant for lyrical storytelling and an old world charm. He is most noted for composing the soundtrack to the documentary film "French 3" and for writing the hit song "This Is Nothing" for songstress Sylvie Vartan.
