Kit Downes is a British pianist whose impressive style blends together elements of jazz, classical and progressive rock. After graduating from the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London Downes would go on to join the well-known jazz fusion band in 2007. Eventually feeling the need to express himself as a singular force, Downes would leave Empirical and release his debut solo album, Little Man Moon, in 2013. Having since kept active with additional LP releases and frequent performances, Downes has distinguished himself as one of the more accomplished pianists on the modern English music scene.
