Formed in 1988 at a small suburban high school, the Danish alt rock band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy struggled to find critical acclaim and has disbanded and reformed regularly since then. Though they made it to the finals of the Danish Championship for Rock in 1991, they had difficulty securing a record deal, but continued to enter the competition every year until they finally secured the grand prize in the mid-1990s, a record deal with EMI for a 4-track EP. This spurred the band's career onward and gave them moderate success on the commercial rock scene. They announced a reunion in 2009.
