Big Sexy Noise is a UK-based band that makes a style of music that blends a myriad of genres including Goth, no wave and alternative rock together to form a cohesive and forward thinking sound. Formed in 2009, by chief singer/songwriter Lydia Lunch, who first rose to prominence as part of New York's 1980s no wave scene, as well as instrumentalists who Lunch had collaborated with frequently in the past, Big Sexy Noise managed to create a fairly decent regional following for itself shortly after its formation. The group released its sophomore album, Trust the Witch, in 2011 and the LP helped introduce a new generation of listeners to the band's characteristic sound that's chock full of dissonant guitars, lurching rhythms and Lunch's emotive voice.
