The first ever winner of the acclaimed franchise-starting talent show series Pop Idol, Will Young is a singer/songwriter and actor who was catapulted into the spotlight in 2002. Two weeks after the finale of Pop Idle, which would serve as the blueprint for other talent show series such as American Idol, Young released his debut single "Anything is Possible," the fastest-selling debut single in UK history. His first full-length album From Now On, released in 2002, was one of three of his albums to debut at number one, along with 2003's Friday's Child and 2011's Echoes. In addition to his music career Young has experienced a fair degree of success as an actor, having appeared in theater productions and popular television series such as Skins.
