Formerly known as Pocketknife, Yost is a rock band from Brooklyn that creates a folky brand of indie rock music with strong jazz influences. Composer, guitarist, saxophonist and lead vocalist Colin Kallalea lends the band calculated jazz sounds and places them over guitar-driven indie rock. Yost made an appearance at the 2008 Bonnaroo music festival, proving that its jazz fusion feel appeases both modern and classic rock fans.
