Courir Les Rues, translated as Running in the Streets, initially formed as a five-piece in 2000, performing at flea markets on the streets of Corgy, France. After developing a solid following, the band decided to double its lineup, adding five new musicians and rechristening itself Courir Les Rues Et Sa Band. Melding traditional French instrumentals with a heavy reliance on the horns and a French pop sensibility, the group forges a brassy and romantic sound both appropriate for street cafes and packed venues.
