Making easily accessible flamenco music for the masses is no easy task. The erstwhile style of music is beautiful but requires a certain amount of patience to listen to--a trait that few of today's fervent music fans can boast. Spanish-born guitarist Paco de Lucía made flamenco startlingly easy to like, and he even helped bring the style to the forefront of popular music by collaborating with well known musicians for one-off inspirational bouts of musical spawning.
