To signify the passing of time, Dexys Midnight Runners officially shortened its name to Dexys in 2012, almost a decade after mastermind and front man Kevin Rowland put together a fresh incarnation of his alternative pop/neo soul group. Famous for its 1980s hits, Dexys are best known for its 1982 album Too-Rye-Ay, which featured the best selling single of the year "Come On Eileen." After its breakup in 1986 and failed attempts at reuniting, the band announced its reunion tour and greatest hits album in 2003 and were back in the studio recording new material by 2005. The album, Dexys' first studio album since 1885, was titled One Day I'm Going To Soar and released in 2012.
