Bar Harbon, ME-based indie band Coke Weed mixes a folk ethic with psychedelic garage rock. After setting up a studio inside a barn located on a flower farm in its home state, the band recorded its debut album Volume One, on two cassette recorders and released it for free in 2011. The album earned the band respect for its authentic lo-fi and DIY qualities. Staying true to its unusual recording style, Coke Weed recorded its follow up album live in the course of ten days with no overdubs. The resulting record, titled Nice Dreams, was released in 2012.
