1776 is a garage rock band from the Pacific Northwest that channels rock movements of the 1960s and 1970s. Inspired by the classic rock of The Who, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks, the band creates guitar-driven music and projects a cool nonchalance that was recognized by art-rock outfit The Dandy Warhols, who signed 1776 to its label Beat the World. The young band released its self-titled debut in 2012, exposing its vocal harmonies, classic rock sensibilities and long curly hair to the garage rock scene.
