In the early 1990s it wasn't just the U.S. that was caught up in the alternative rock movement; Latin America caught the bug too. One of the most successful independent bands to come out of it all was El Otro Yo (The Other Me) from Argentina. The sound that El Otro Yo produces is a mix between punk and rock seen through a Latin pop filter, certainly not your everyday rock band, but makes for good listening nonetheless.
