Greg Ashley is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Texas who is perhaps best-known for his work as the front man of the psychedelic rock quartet, The Gris Gris. Before releasing any material with his Oakland, California-based band, Ashley dropped his debut solo album Medicine Fuck Dream, in 2003, establishing how own psych-folk sound. Though his louder, more aggressive work with The Gris Gris went on to reach broader audiences, his intricate and delicate psych sound earned a niche following among fans of both neo-psycehdelia and Western-tinged garage rock.
