To Kill A King is an indie rock band from Leeds that was formed as Kid iD by lead vocalist Ralph Pellymounter, Ian Dudfield and Josh Platman while they were students at the University of Leeds in 2009. The band soon renamed itself To Kill A King, added a drummer and a keyboardist and began playing shows at schools and night clubs around England. In 2011, To Kill A King dropped its debut single titled "Fictional State," capturing its folk and pop-infused indie rock sound on a record for the first time.
