Matt King

Matt King is a country singer/songwriter from Asheville, NC. Becoming proficient on guitar at a young age, King was offered a position at Opryland USA early on in his career, however he had to turn down the gig because he was in debt and couldn't afford the move to Nashville. After finally being noticed by Atlantic Records, King released his debut album in 1997 and has since gone on to establish himself as one of the more forward-thinking folk-tinged country musicians of his generation.
