Samuel Wire is an electronic music producer from London who operates under the moniker DJ Wire. With a bass-heavy electro sound, he helped pioneer the UK grime scene of the early 2000s, particularly after the release of his hit track "Believe Me," in 2003. After securing a residency at London's Herbal nightclub in 2006 and crossing over into the realm of drum and bass, DJ Wire teamed up with the duo Chase & Status to found MTA Records and began collaborating with fellow DJ, Example. With complementary styles of mixing, the two producers would go on to tour the world together, filling dance floors with joint DJ sets packed with the latest in the drum and bass.
