Best known as a member of The Black Eyed Peas, Jaime Luis Gómez is a vocalist and rapper who goes by the moniker Taboo. He became a part of the Black Eyed Peas, at the time named The Black Eye Pods, in 1995 and helped develop the group's live band sound and politically driven lyrics that contrasted with the gangsta rap sound of Los Angeles hip-hop from the 1990s. Aside from his work with The Black Eyed Peas, Taboo has collaborated with artists such as Ryan Key of Yellowcard, rapper David Rolas and Juanes, and has appeared in films such as 2005's Dirty and 2009's Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
