Placebo is an alternative rock band from London that was formed in 1994 by three musicians from Belgium, Sweden and the United States.After gigging around the UK for a few years after its inception, providing the group with an opportunity to refine its sound and polish it's songwriting approach, Placebo released its self titled debut album in 1996. Having gone on to maintain a fairly busy recording and touring schedule, the group has managed to build up a strong following of listeners and fans from around the world.
