Bury St. Edmunds' This Is Colour likes to keep it simple. The band is self-described as a bunch of guys (five to be exact) who like to hang out and make music. Even the name of their first album, "No Brainer," implies that there is really no need for much pageantry in metal (or, at least, in the metal that they'd like to produce). Of course, this isn't to say that their music doesn't have the capacity to be complex or dimensional; This Is Colour somehow carefully balances its aggressive sound with a fun attitude. The result: thrashing hardcore music that doesn't bring on a load of guilt if met with a smile.
