Between the Buried and Me

The North Carolina-based heavy metal band Between the Buried and Me is known to blend several genres of metal to create an original sound that very few bands are able to achieve. The group released its eponymously titled debut album in 2002 and though the pairing of metalcore, progressive metal and death metal might sound like an intimidating blend of styles, the group is able to pull it off and sound like a band that's intent on spreading its music to the masses.
