Andy Samberg, born David Andrew Samberg, is a comedian and actor who rose to fame with his comedy group The Lonely Island on NBC's hit show Saturday Night Live. Samberg joined SNL as a player while The Lonely Island joined as part of the writing staff in 2005, and they were soon credited for popularizing the Emmy-winning short films and music videos known as SNL Digital Shorts. His well-known shorts includes his duet with Justin Timberlake "Dick in a Box," as well as "Jizz in My Pants." Riding the wave of his success, he made his feature film debut in 2007 with Hot Rod, and went on to host the 2009 MTV Movie Awards the same year The Lonely Island released its first album, Incredibad.
