Silla is the stage alias of the German rapper Matthias Schulze. He was born in 1984 and grew up in a quite area in Germany. He first started releasing music under the pseudonym "Godsilla," although in 2010 he adopted the moniker "Silla" to avoid a lawsuit by Toho, the owners of the rights to Godzilla. In 2011 he signed with the label Maskulin and released his fifth solo album, Silla Instinkt.
