Houston rapper Z-Ro is widely known as one of the best Southern rappers of all time, if often underrated by many in the commercial rap sphere. An expert freestyle rapper with a taste for the melancholy and brooding, Z-Ro is sometimes considered to be one of rap's most gothic and morose figures. Plagued by addiction at various points in his life, Z-Ro raps frequently about his (and others) struggle with drugs. Mostly a mixtape rapper, Z-Ro keeps a strong, intimate following with the release of free music and small, well-attended shows in and around the south.
