John Sebastian is a singer/songwriter from New York City who initially started his career in the mid-1960s as a founding member of the popular rock band The Lovin' Spoonful. Breaking away, Sebastian would release his self-titled debut album in 1970. Pursuing a more defined folk sound, Sebastian would go on to create a solid reputation as a folk crooner who has continued to tour the country and perform his buoyant songs to long time fans.
