Whitney is a rock band from Chicago that blends indie pop with psychedelic rock. The was founded in 2015 by Max Kakacek and Julian Ehrlich, after the dissolution of their former band The Smith Westerns. Waisting no time, Whitney released its debut album, Light Upon the Lake, in 2016.
