San Jose, Costa Rica-based band Zopilot is one of the country's rising indie rock stars, making a name for themselves re-interpreting alternative and krautrock musical styles. Always with a strong element of melody at the heart of the band's innovative song structures, the group's virtuosic guitar work is likely their great accomplishment. With long, unfolding song structures, the group displays a great deal of patience in the building of their songs, adding new elements at just the right time. Playing frequently in their home country, the band has begun to make moves in North America and Europe, growing their fan base to include a wide array experimental rock enthusiasts.
