Though the English electronic duo Pet Shop Boys debuted in 1984 with its massively successful single "West End Girls," the group has managed to progress with technology and grow into a band that's confident of its sound yet still willing to experiment with new things. Comprised of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, the Pet Shop Boys created a characteristic style of synthpop for itself that's indulgent in vintage electro rhythms and modulated synthesizer sounds.
