The Yawpers is a Denver, Colorado-based alternative rock band that was founded in 2011. Comprised of Nate Cook, Jesse Parmet and Noah Shomberg, the group takes its names from Walt Whitman's promise to, "Sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world." After cutting its teeth on the Denver live music scene, the band released its well-received debut LP, Capon Crusade, in 2012.
