2022 saw appearances in the UK at venues such as Lofts, Newcastle, Peddlers Warehouse, Sheffield, Playhouse, Epping, a monthly residency at KISS, Portugal and boat party and WNDRLND, Eden in Ibiza. Matt’s varied influences are often heard in his music style; ranging from Masters At Work, DJ Sneak, and Basement Jaxx alongside Joey Negro and Dimitri from Paris reflect his funky style, running through his sets whether it be house, tech or disco. This has always been evident in Matt’s gigs -from Hard Times in the UK and oversees at Ibiza Rocks, to performing in more intimate venues with acts like electroswing bands Dutty Moonshine, and Swingrowers on their latest album launch tour. His career of over 15 years began with regular residencies for Revolution Bars as part of the popular duo The Trackteam, which led to him performing up and down the UK, playing house and disco with the brand. This led to recognition for their Revolution DJ of the Year award and soon Matt’s style and approach saw him performing alongside international acts at Speedqueen, The Space, Mint Club, Gatecrasher and many more. After joining forces with 3 other local artists including Doorly, Matt created and DJ’d at the club brand Afterparty. What started off as a workers party swiftly outgrew two venues and became one of the North’s biggest warehouse parties. Afterparty went on to be voted clubnight of the year by Galaxy FM and Mixmag, and attracted huge acts including Fatboy Slim, Armand Van Helden, Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Groove Armada, Calvin Harris, Sebastian Ingrosso, Chase and Status to name a few. Whats next? Fresh projects include radio presenting, music production, and being part of the Adept Music and Love to Be group of resident DJ’s, alongside continuing to perform across the globe
