In the 1970s, there was a movement called the mod revival, which attempted to recreate the mod subculture that existed in England throughout the 1950s and 1960s. The revival movement was deeply rooted in music and one of the flag-bearers of the genre was the English troupe The Jam. In an attempt to recreate the total awesomeness that was The Jam, a group of musicians have dedicated themselves to playing Jam tunes to the best of their ability. This group is called the Modfathers. While the group is considered a cover band, it still plays insightful rock with ardent precision and well-trained affability.
