This Slovenian musical virtuoso has been playing jazz at an internationally acclaimed level since his youth, beginning his training at age 19. He was soon after awarded a scholarship to study music in New York City, exposing him even further to a rich world of jazz's musical offerings. His over three decade-long career includes his work as a composer, which is regarded as some of the finest contemporary composition work today. His nimble ability with the tenor sax is complimented by his rich compositions, which draw upon a wide variety of influences, from classical to funk to Eastern European traditions.
