Upbeat, versatile and original, Hymns falls firmly within the spectrum to be the face of new indie rock. The New York City-based band blends a long history of artists and genres, into their own eclectic, catchy and ever-inventive repertoire. Formed in 2005 by a pair of childhood friends, the now four-piece band has been gaining speed after their first two full-length releases and an EP that have all garnered major critical attention. Having played with and opened for artists such as Daniel Johnston and Ben Kweller, these rockers are surely finding a niche of their own in the broad new spectrum of indie tunes.
