Unsane is a noise rock band from New York City. Formed in 1988, the band takes elements of classic metal and hardcore punk and blends them into an alternative metal foundation. Though the band has never seen mainstream attention, it has earned legions of followers in the global underground metal community. From its 1991 self-titled debut to 2012's Wreck, the group has stayed true to its heavy, experimental aesthetic.
