Formed in 1979, Michael Schenker Group is a hard rock band from London that was created by former Scorpions and UFO guitarist Michael Schenker. Often regarded as a legendary figure of metal guitar, Schenker lends the band original compositions with strong influences from his heavy metal background, resulting in a raw, neo-classic rock sound that has resonated well with fans of his previous work. Though decades have passed since he hit the peak of his commercial appeal, Schenker leads the Michael Schenker Group with razor sharp, atypical lead guitar chops and a lifetime of experience writing and performing music.
