The UMass Minutemen represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. As a member of the NCAA's Division I, the university competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference and the Mid-American Conference of the Football Bowl Subdivision. UMass sponsors a variety of men's and women's athletic programs, including baseball, basketball, cross country, ice hockey, lacrosse, field hockey, soccer, softball and tennis. Famous alumni to have come from the university include Marcus Camby (NBA) and Jonathan Quick (NHL).
