Taking to music at a young age, Bloomington, Indiana-born artist Joshua Bell began his musical journey at age 4, when he acquired his first violin. After years of formal training and playing under renowned conductors such as Charles Dutoit, he began writing his own original compositions and eventually branched out into folk and jazz. Through his impressive catalog of work, which includes notable cadenzas for the violin concertos of classical legends like Beethoven, Mozart and Mendelssohn, Bell has earned a reputation for not only his technical skill, but also his emotional presence on stage.
