Together Chris While & Julie Matthews are a folk/rock duo from North West England that came together in 1993, while both halves were members of the Albion Band. While and Matthews parted with the band and became a full-time act in 1997, shortly before releasing its debut album Piecework. The duo has since toured Africa, North America, Australia and most of Europe while maintaining a presence in the UK by working on music projects for BBC including a radio documentary and the 2006 Radio Ballads. Chris While & Julie Matthews released the critically acclaimed album Quest, in 2001, exemplifying its dual songwriting strength.
