Blackwood Jack is a blues/rock outfit from the Southwest region of Victoria, Australia. Formed in 2010, the three-piece band captured a rock and soul-inspired blues sound on its 2011 self-titled debut EP, which was praised for its seasoned and mature sound despite the band member's young age. The release exemplifies the strength of lead singer Ben Cue, who has the ability to harness and release emotion at will with his earnest vocals.
