Berlin-based artist Maymond Wassef, best known as Ray Mann, is a soul musician who has released material independently as well as with his group The Ray Mann Three. Originally from Australia, he traveled through Japan and Berlin after the release of his debut album The Ray Mann Three in 2009, performing non-stop and collecting a fan base along the way. In 2011 Ray Mann released his second album Sketches, as part of an interactive online experiment titled The Sketches Project, for which he released a series of digital-only songs one at a time, each accompanied with a music video, until a physical copy of the entire album was released upon the project's completion. The Sketches Project not only showcased Ray Mann's musical abilities, but also his talent and keen eye as a visual artist.
