Train is an American alternative rock band from San Francisco, California. The band was formed as a duo by Rob Hotchkiss and Patrick Monahan in 1994 but took on more band members over time. In 1998, Train released its self-titled debut album. The group gained international success with their second album Drops of Jupiter.
