Toronto FC is a professional soccer club based out of Toronto that competes in Major League Soccer. Founded in 2006, the franchise was MLS's fourteenth soccer team and Canada's first under the league's expansion in 2006 and 2007. The team plays its home matches at the soccer-specific BMO Field, located in the city's Exhibition Place along Toronto's lake shore.
