Former NYC-based percussionist and singer-songwriter Dana Buoy (known for his role as the drummer of Akron/Family), has taken his drum chops to the world of densely layered synth-pop. Buoy's debut single "Call To Be" foreshadows a debut release that is brightly colored by lush guitar and synth melodies, and kept rolling by Buoy's varied percussion. Making his SXSW debut as a solo artist in 2012, Buoy will take his notable contributions to Akron/Family on to his own unique musical world, bringing new and former fans along with him in alt-pop glee.
