Nashville-based bluegrass singer-songwriter Buddy Miller is one of the genre's most influential characters. A backing vocalist in his early days for country legends like Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Shawn Colvin and Linda Ronstadt, Miller had a luminous start to what would become an illustrious career. In addition to his popular solo work, Miller has been an influential producer for folks like Patty Griffin, Gillian Welch and Dolly Parton. Miller is also known for collaborating with his wife Julie Miller, a singer-songwriter in her own right.
