Edo de Waart

Edo de Waart is a conductor from Amsterdam and is currently the music director of both the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. The conductor's illustrious past is marked by wins at several conducting competitions as a young man, as well as assistantships with some of the world's greatest conductors, such as Leonard Bernstein and Bernard Haitink. In the 1970s, de Waart made his American debut with the San Francisco Symphony, where he has continuously returned to give performances as the orchestra's principal guest conductor.
