Though the band is based out of sunny San Diego, California, Secrets plays angst-ridden post hardcore/screamo. The five-piece formed in 2010 and was immediately signed to Rise Records, which released its debut album The Ascent--an album that managed to be one of the few of its genre to break Billboard's Top 200. With aggressive vocals and hard-hitting instrumentals, Secrets' live show matches its music, as each band member headbangs and jumps to the beat.
