Growing up on the Isle of Louis, located off the coast of northwest Scotland, undoubtedly played an important role in Colin MacLeod rearing. The isolated community is rather cut off from the rest of greater England and the island is content with subsisting off of its own cultural creations. MacLeod started writing music while he lived on the isle, but craving bit city excitement and metropolitan flavors he moved to London to start a career as a neo-folk solo musician. People have taken to his music quite well and now the folk musician is touring the globe and releasing his albums to a widespread audience of eager listeners.
