Accra, Ghana-based band Hewale Sounds is an instrumental group that has been a dominate force in the international music scene for years. Incorporating traditional West African musical styles with contemporary pop, the group finds its principal melodies through the xylophone, while a thunderous percussion team dominates the rest of the Hewale sonic aesthetic. The band has played frequently throughout West Africa, and has made international debuts in France, Germany, Russia and the United States.
