The Shanghai-based group Duck Flight Goose makes a style of music that blends contradictory genres to create a unique and surprisingly listenable form of music. By blending ethereal elements of post rock with elements of forward-thinking instrumental progressive rock, Duck Flight Goose has managed to arrive at a sound that's unlike most stuff being produced by other young bands on the scene today. Formed in 2009, Duck Flight Goose has built a fairly respectable fan base in its native Shanghai, and with North American touring scheduled in 2012, the band undoubtedly has plans to make its overseas popularity grow.
